Heavy showers west

Any lingering rain in southeast England will clear by morning, leaving dry and sunny conditions in the east. Cloudier in the west with frequent showers, some heavy in the northwest and wintry over the Highlands. Strong winds and heavy showers expected over the Northern Isles. Highs of 10°C in the west and 14°C in the east.

Showers will clear as high pressure builds, leaving only a few lingering over the Northern Isles. Later, thick cloud will develop over Ireland. Overnight lows of 3°C in the north and 5°C in the south.
