Drier for other areas with some brighter sunny spells, best in Ireland, Wales and parts of central England. More showers develop in central Scotland and northern England into the afternoon.

The showers turning heavier from central Scotland, through northern England and into the eastern Midlands during this afternoon. Cloudier skies to the south and east.
