Dry, best of the sunshine and very warm in the south, cloudier and cooler in the north
High pressure continues to dominate the weather in the week ahead. This brings lots of dry weather. Skies will be sunniest in the south and it is here where the weather will be very warm and even hot on a few days. More cloud in northern areas with a risk of some drizzle in northwest Scotland.

High pressure is going to be centred over Ireland on Sunday. Some drizzle in northwest Scotland. Further cloud may drift onto eastern coasts of the country. This should break through the morning with sunny spells developing. Elsewhere it should be dry and bright with further spells of sunshine, the best of it in the west. Little change is expected through the day. Highs at 25 to 30C for many, 22C in central and western Scotland, 15C in the northwest.
High pressure stays over southern Ireland, most of England and Wales for Monday. A fair and warm day with broken cloud and sunshine, the best of the sun in southern and central areas. Always more cloud across northwest Scotland where there will be drizzle and a strong southwesterly wind. Highs at 29C in central and southern England, 17C in northwest Scotland, 23 to 27C for most.
High pressure to the south of the country on Tuesday. Fair, plenty of sunshine and very warm weather in England, Wales, Ireland and much of eastern and southern Scotland. Cloud and rain in northern and western Scotland as well as northern and western Ireland. Temperatures at 32C in southeast England, a cooler 15 to 17C in cloudier Scotland.
High pressure remains through the British Isles for Wednesday. Fair with sunny spells and dry weather. Cloud and some drizzle in northwest Scotland. Highs at 33C in southeast England, 15C in northwest Scotland.
High pressure once again brings plenty of sunshine across the country. Northwest Scotland may again have more cloud and a few spots of drizzle. Temperatures at 32C in southern England, 15 to 18C across Scotland.
Cloud and rain across northwest and western Scotland. Drier for eastern and southern Scotland. Brighter for much of Ireland, England and Wales. Good spells of sunshine in the south. Some rain may affect northwest Scotland. Highs at 29C in southern England, 15C in northwest Scotland.
